Pecans toasted in butter make for a comforting snack all on their own, but add them to my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe and you have a real treat that is good enough for gift giving! 

 At first glance, these unassuming cookies look like a traditional chocolate chip cookie, but upon that first delectable bite your unsuspecting guests realize they lucked into something wonderful when they picked this cookie out of the mix on the holiday cookie tray! The sweet chocolate mixed with the buttery pecans wrapped up in a chewy cookie is a little bite of heaven on earth. The flavors mingle nicely to create a taste that is hard to resist!

    I couldn't agree with you more Marion. . .toasted nuts always add a little extra special something to chocolate chip cookies. and your photos with those ooey, gooey chocolate chip morsels is making me crave chocolate chip cookies all the more.
