My Twix Milkshake is a rich, chocolaty, frozen treat perfect for National Ice Cream Month. It is very thick like a Frosty and full of TWIX® Ice Cream Minis. The TWIX® Ice Cream Minis add a touch of caramel for a delicious twist on a chocolate milkshake.
July is National Ice Cream Month and what better way to celebrate than by enjoying a rich and thick homemade chocolate milkshake? This particular milkshake tastes and feels like a Frosty from Wendy's! The Frosty is my mom's favorite! It has been for as long as I can remember!! Caramel is another one of her faves, so adding the TWIX® Ice Cream Minis put this homemade Frosty over the top! I was so excited to surprise her with this tasty treat, and she declared she'll be getting her Frosty fix at my house from now on <smile>
Have you tried the TWIX® Ice Cream Minis? They feature vanilla ice cream, gooey caramel and TWIX® cookie bits covered in a delicious chocolaty coating. They taste like TWIX® but with ice cream. I had to hide them from Don! He loves them so much!
This Twix Milkshake is too good to keep to myself! You can make this easily at home with just a few ingredients and no ice cream maker needed! If you have an ice cream maker you can use it, but my directions use a blender. Gather your ingredients: Chocolate milk, sweetened condensed milk, whipped topping, and TWIX® Ice Cream Minis...
Pour 1/2 cup of sweetened condensed milk into the blender...
add 4 ounces of whipped topping...
and 1 quart of chocolate milk
Put the lid on the blender and blend until combined and then add in 4 TWIX® Ice Cream Minis and blend again until well mixed. Give it a taste and add more TWIX® Ice Cream Minis if you like even more caramel goodness.
Place the blender in the freezer for about 6 hours until nearly frozen and then blend again. Time will vary depending on your freezer. If it gets too frozen, no worries, just let it thaw a bit and then blend it all again. Pour into serving glasses, top with chopped TWIX® Ice Cream Minis and caramel sauce. Enjoy!
