Valentine's Day Snack Mix is a delicious way to share the love with all of your favorite Valentines. It is sooo incredibly satisfying and delicious!
Even the strongest friendships need to be nurtured, and what better way to celebrate your friendships than by giving a gift you made with love? Not only will you make someone else's day and put a smile on their face, you'll feel good too!
It is so much fun to make special treats for family and friends to express how much they mean to you, and this Valentine's Day Snack Mix is the perfect way to show you care. It is easy enough to make with the kids and everyone will love the festive colors! When Madison was as little as 5 years old, she would help me make this and other fun treats for our friends and family. We would package all of our goodies with a pretty bow to share with our favorite Valentines!
This snack mix is super easy to make. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper and set aside. In a large bowl combine 2.5 cups pretzels, 2.5 cups oat cereal, 2.5 cups crispy corn cereal, and 1 cup peanuts.
In a microwave safe bowl combine the white chocolate chips with 1.5 tablespoons of oil and microwave on high for 30 seconds. Stir well to melt the chocolate. Microwave an additional 15 seconds if needed. Once the white chocolate is nice and smooth, pour it over the contents of the bowl...
and gently stir until everything is coated with chocolate.
Mix in 1 cup M&M's® Red Velvet candies. Spread the coated snack mix onto the parchment lined baking sheet in an even layer and shake on the pink sparkly sprinkles to your liking. Set aside to dry.
I found the special Valentine's M&M's® Red Velvet candies in the Seasonal aisle at my local Walmart.
While I was there, I also picked up my favorite Peanut M&M's® to challenge my best friend and favorite Valentine, Don, to a 'Winner Eats All' game of Tic Tac Toe! We ended up tying a bunch of times and then somehow we ran out of M&M's® Oh man, do we love those Peanut M&M's®!!

Published 01/30/2015
Ingredients
- 2.5 cups mini twist pretzels, salted
- 2.5 cups toasted oat cereal
- 2.5 cups crispy corn cereal squares
- 1 cup peanuts, salted
- 1 cup M&M's® Red Velvet candies
- 1 (11 ounce) package white chocolate chips
- 1.5 tablespoons coconut oil or vegetable oil
- Pink sparkly sprinkles
Instructions
- Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper and set aside. In a large bowl combine 2.5 cups pretzels, 2.5 cups oat cereal, 2.5 cups crispy corn cereal, and 1 cup peanuts. Gently mix to combine.
- In a microwave safe bowl combine the white chocolate chips with 1.5 tablespoons of oil and microwave on high for 30 seconds. Stir well to melt the chocolate. Microwave an additional 15 seconds if needed. Be very careful not to burn the white chocolate. It can be a bit fussy. The white chocolate should be smooth, so keep stirring to get the smoothness.
- Once the white chocolate is nice and smooth, pour it over the contents of the bowl and gently stir until everything is coated with chocolate. Mix in 1 cup M&M's® Red Velvet candies. Spread the coated snack mix onto the parchment lined baking sheet in an even layer and shake on the Pink sparkly sprinkles to your liking. Set aside to dry. Once the white chocolate is dry, transfer the mix to a large serving bowl and enjoy! Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
