Double Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies are rich chocolate oval cookies packed full of salty macadamia nuts and drizzled in semi-sweet and creamy white chocolate! These cookies satisfy those sweet and salty cravings, and the drizzled chocolate makes for a beautiful presentation. Everyone loves to see these cookies on my holiday cookies trays each year!

My Double Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies are the 4th in a series of FIVE cookies I make with my Chocolate Cookie Dough Recipe. It is a great way to save time and have a variety of cookies for holiday gatherings and gift giving.

These cookies look like they'd be a little bit of a challenge to make, but don't let the beautiful look fool you! These cookies are really easy, but their impressive look will have everyone marveling at your pro baking skills!

To make my Double Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies you simply mix in 1/3 cup crushed macadamia nuts into 1/5th of my Chocolate Cookie Dough Recipe. Divide the dough into 24 pieces and shape each piece into an oval. Place cookies onto parchment lined baking sheets and chill in freezer for about 10 minutes. Then bake and allow to cool. When cooled you drizzle with both chocolates and allow to dry. Then you are ready to serve these up and enjoy the delicious combination of sweet and salty chocolaty goodness!

Double Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies
Double Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies | by Life Tastes Good are rich chocolate oval cookies packed full of salty macadamia nuts and drizzled in semi-sweet and creamy white chocolate!

Ingredients

  • 1/5th Chocolate Cookie Dough Recipe
  • 1/3 cup Macadamia Nuts, crushed
  • 1/4 semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil, divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Combine 1/3 cup macadamia nuts with 1/5th Chocolate Cookie Dough and knead to mix well. Divide dough into 24 pieces and shape into ovals. Place each cookie on parchment lined baking sheet 1" apart. Chill in freezer for about 10 minutes.
  3. Bake 10-12 minutes, switching sheets 1/2 way through baking until set. Remove cookies and transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
  4. When cooled, mix 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips with 1/4 teaspoon vegetable oil in a microwave safe bowl. Heat in microwave on 50% power for 30 seconds. Stir until smooth and drizzle over cookies.
  5. Mix 1/4 cup white chocolate chips with 1/4 teaspoon vegetable oil in a microwave safe bowl. Heat in microwave on 50% power for 30 seconds. Stir until smooth and drizzle over cookies. White chocolate can be very fussy. If it isn't melted enough, put back in microwave on 50% power for another 15 seconds and stir again until smooth. You can add another 1/4 teaspoon oil if needed, but be very careful not to overheat. Also, keep in mind if your white chocolate has been in your cabinet for a long time it won't melt properly. I recommend using freshly purchased white chocolate chips.
  6. Allow the chocolate to dry. You can even pop these in the fridge for about 30 minutes to dry the chocolate if you like. Serve and enjoy!
Yield: about 2 dozen
Prep Time: 20 mins.
Cook time: 10 mins.
Total time: 30 mins.
