You can whip this up in less than 5 minutes! In the microwave even! Sure, you can use the stove-top if you prefer - that's not a problem at all. It will just take an extra minute or two. No worries!
This recipe for Chocolate Ganache is so easy and versatile, I use it in many different ways! I recently had the neighbors over for a get together before all the kids head back to college, and I served this as a dip on a fruit tray for dessert. It was delicious! Especially with cherries and strawberries! I also have a new recipe coming up for ice cream week where I used this ganache recipe to make a no churn Chocolate Ganache Ice Cream that is out of this world delicious, and this is the same Chocolate Ganache recipe I use in my SNICKERS Nachos and S'mores!!
It's also fantastic to dip just about anything in! I recommend dipping a salty potato chip in this ooey gooey chocolate! It tastes just like the gourmet chocolate covered potato chips from Grimaldi's! That's a local shop that has become famous for their chocolate covered chips!
Can you believe it is just 3 ingredients and less than 5 minutes to make this decadent treat that can be used in so many different ways?!! It's like a super sauce!

Ingredients
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 9 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
- kosher or sea salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat 1 cup heavy cream in a microwave safe bowl. I use the measuring cup I measured it in. You want this fairly hot. Microwave until it starts to bubble or heat on the stove top until it just starts to boil.
- Pour the hot cream over 9 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate chips and stir until smooth. Add a 1/2 teaspoon of kosher or sea salt and stir to combine. Give it a taste and more salt as desired.
Prep Time: 5 mins.

DeleteOh no. Now I have just drooled all over the keyboard. Please pass that bowl of ice cream with the ganache please! I love drizzling ganache over desserts.
ReplyDeleteToo funny, Michele!
DeleteOk, I'm sold. I'm moving to Florida and you can cook for me daily. If I'm fat, I won't care. I'll be happy because Marion is feeding me. LOL. I LOVE your photos!!!!
ReplyDeleteWooohoooo we can be fat together haha you are so funny! Thanks!
DeleteThis looks so good and I love the photos... nice to have an extra pair of hands sometimes.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Mary Ellen! I would LOVE an extra pair of hands - preferably ones that aren't so shaky! I had to use the tripod for these shots and hold the spoon myself which is why the photos are a little blurred, but what can you do?! Using Madison's camera for these helped me out a bit - she has a lovely Nikon with a nice lens. She's had it forever, but it sure gets sharper photos than my usual which is a point and shoot
DeleteLove ganache!! and your photos are making my mouth water!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Stephanie! We love it too and devoured it in no time! Thanks for stopping by today!

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely Elaine! Just heat to just boiling and pour that over the chocolate. Thanks for the question! I updated the directions to include the stove top :) ~Marion
DeleteI bet this ganache would substitute into your low carb peanut butter pie recipe nicely for those looking at a low carb treat without the PB!
